Data network services involves the provision of value-added data communications services. This covers the quoting, service ordering and modifications, service installation and integration, network installation and management and continued research into data communications products.
Transmax offers a range of value-added services for the provision of data communications for use in applications, specifically Intelligent Transport Systems. The communications services may be provided separately or in conjunction with a project provided by the Transmax services group.
With the backing of experienced network consultancy staff, Transmax will ensure that a communications service is selected which is suited towards the specific environment and application. Transmax has established relationships with a number of communications network providers and can deliver communications products ranging from emergent xDSL, cellular GSM/CDMA-1X, satellite, optical fibre, microwave through to legacy point-to-point technologies such as PAPL and ISDN, if suitable, and now wireless options are available.
The selection of a communications service must take into account the communications protocol and the security requirements of the organisation and the application.
Transmax offers standard service level agreements, which provide the conditions of supply and guarantees of performance and support for the communications service.

STREAMS Mobile Point of Access (POA)
Transmax has developed the STREAMS Mobile Point of Access (POA) Product to enable its customers to easily connect field devices that don’t have a fixed location to the ITS network. This product also provides another option for customers seeking to install ITS equipment in remote locations- out of range of other, more conventional solutions.
